Reading this news today about a teacher-wife-mother who panicked when a frog leaped on her lap when she was driving. She panicked, pressed on the accelerator and slammed into a tree. She died on the spot while her two children were critically injured. This is so tragic!
This story reminds me of my cousin sis and her friend. They were on their way to KL when a lizard suddenly dropped on their dashboard. This sent that two crazy women screaming their lungs out in the car. It was a lucky thing they managed to pull over at a bus stop nearby and jumped out from the car! A Malay lady, who was waiting for a bus at the bus stop helped them to get rid of the lizard! It was a lucky thing that, the bus stop was somewhere nearby when the lizard fell, otherwise, I don’t know what will happen!
My cousin sis is also very afraid of cats and dogs. It really beats me why people are afraid of animals which do not pose any threat, maybe dogs sometimes coz they bite! There was once, she was walking along a busy road and suddenly a dog showed up. She crossed to the other side without looking left and right. She was really lucky not to have caused an accident because of her phobia!
Another incident at home, when my sister and cousin sister were still in primary school, they were home alone when a bird flew into the house. Instead of keeping all windows and doors open to let the bird out, they were screaming on top of their lungs and hid under the blanket. I am really surprised the poor bird didn’t die of heart attack from their screams. When I came home, I open all the windows and doors to let the poor bird out!
I know I shouldn’t be passing judgment on people’s phobia, but I feel that, if you are truly afraid of animals in general, you should perhaps try to condition your mindset not to be afraid of them! Of course, if a tiger shows up, I would also be very scared lah! But cats? Kittens? Rabbits? Or puppies? Lizards? Cockroaches? Come on! I basically almost swallow a lizard. LOL!
Remember to keep calm! These domestic animals or insects or amphibians won’t kill you. But being panic would.

I think it’s time to take a deep breath and said, they are not a threat! Unless they pee on your food stuff and you didn’t wash them.. then you will get poisoning!
I used to cut open a rat before for my bio lab experiment….

I guess we need to be in their shoes….. as for me i am absolutely terrified of dogs and monkeys because of a bad experience and both are very temperamental animals.

Well, yes.. I know I have friends who have intense fear of furry animals or insects. This post is just to remind friends and readers alike, I think it’s best to condition our minds not to be afraid and panic unnecessarily which could result in such tragic accident – like the poor lady who panicked when a frog leaped on her lap. We must all remain calm and stop the car, to get rid of it. Afterall, the frog won’t bite.
