Two weeks of school holidays mean the children are back to my house for awhile. Lok Lok and Quan Quan who had gone back to stay with their parents, came for a short visit earlier last week. We had a ball of time talking to them. They are such grown ups now.. Lok Lok is 11 years old and Quan Quan, 7.
Over lunch, the children were discussing what to expect when they enter Standard 6 – Sasha and Lok Lok. Conversations were in Mandarin.
Lok Lok: Std 6? We will need to get injection leh.
Sasha: Pain or not ah? I am very scared. The scars are very ugly one, I heard. (Vain pot in the making)
Me: BCG you mean? I didn’t get my shot when I was in standard 6.
Sasha: Why didn’t you?
Me: Because I am healthy lah!
Lok Lok: Gina cher cher.. so, does it mean that.. people who “got meat” “有肉” like you and slightly “healthier”, don’t have to take injection?
Quan Quan: Lok Lok is trying to say that YOU ARE FAT!!!
Lol!! Can die man, from laughing! They can be really noisy at times.. but they are such sweet darlings. Surprisingly, I miss them.
