I think for the first time in a very long time, I do not have any plans laid out for next year for traveling! End of last year, I had Korea trip lined up but I wasn’t too sure of joining it due to the current Korean standoff between North and South and also, I was in the midst of looking for a new job. Well, the former was proved to be ridiculous – most South Koreans didn’t even bat an eye lid when North Korean threatened them. It was really child’s play. I was told by a friend working in Seoul that, since South Korea recently installed the new female president, North Korea is merely trying to intimidate the new president by flexing some muscles. Childish huh? Then the Bangkok and Singapore trips came last minute. The former is to take my aunt to Bangkok to pay tribute to four faced Buddha at Erawan and shop like crazy. The latter is to catch "Phantom of the Opera" at Marina Bay Sands, as well as meeting old friends. I guess I prefer to do things last minute now since air tickets can be cheap if we are lucky and I must thank my lucky stars that, for the past 8 years of traveling non stop, I’ve been lucky not that I did not have to forfeit any trips eventhough the trips been planned a year in advance. I hope to save more money till end of this year.. perhaps, plan a HUGE trip next year? Haha
I am not sure if you heard of the song before – Nobody’s Child. It goes like this,
I’m nobody’s child, I’m nobody’s child
Just like a flower I’m growing wild
No mommy’s kisses and no daddy’s smile
Nobody wants me, I’m nobody’s child
My sis used this song whenever Ern Ern is ignoring her. So it would make Ern Ern feels guilty. Haha. So the other day, I was busy doing my stuff when Ern Ern wanted something from me. I told her to wait for 5 minutes… and she started wailing this song, tossing and turning on the bed. Hahaha!! I think that was super hilarious.Should have just recorded a video!
A colleague went to do an angioplasty right after Raya. He is this thin guy who smokes a lot. I guess must be the smoking and probably stress since he’s holding a high position in the office. He is 51 years old only and found out artery blockage when he was doing stress test medical check up. It is good that he didn’t suffer stroke before it’s too late. This sets me thinking. We cannot take our health for granted. I am in my worst health condition at the moment. I have been suffering from high blood pressure 10 years ago and I didn’t drop my weight at all, instead my weight has escalated to the point of no return. Seriously. Now, I will be glad that I don’t put on anymore weight, rather than losing some! I have some hormonal issues but it has been sorted out earlier this year and thank God that it wasn’t serious. I guess I couldn’t procrastinate anymore. Good health is gold.
